Five motions in March and April 2026 to make the president get Congress's approval for the war he started on Feb. 28. Five no votes from Susan Collins. Gas in Maine passed $4 a gallon on April 7. Her first yes vote came on April 30, two months into the war.

In 2022, Susan Collins voted against Medicare price negotiation, a $35 monthly cap on insulin for people on Medicare, and a $2,000 cap on what seniors pay out of pocket for prescriptions.

PhRMA, the drug industry's lobby, wrote every member of Congress urging a no vote. She took their money and voted their way time and time again.

Three years later, drug company PACs put thousands into her campaign and PAC in the same month she cast the pivotal vote to move Trump's Big Beautiful Bill forward. That bill handed drugmakers a $5 billion win: it shielded cancer drugs from Medicare negotiation, so patients keep paying higher prices.
